This Jewelry Chest is made of solid walnut. It is 16″ tall, 9-3/4″ wide and 6″ deep.
The drawer sides are red oak, giving a beautiful contrast to the drawers.
The chest has seven coats of hand-rubbed Tung Oil finish. The drawer bottoms are lined with felt.
As a bonus, I was able to incorporate a musical movement from Klockit. When the bottom drawer is opened slightly, the music plays!
This was a very rewarding project, as I learned several woodworking tips from it.
